Dr. Mike at MacWorld in San Francisco
I am at MacWorld in San Francisco. The weather is generally good with just morning sprinkles...so far. Actually, I have had some time to more familiarize myself with Melodyne DNA (direct note access), the recent application from Germany enabling individual notes within a chord (polyphony) to be changed to suit the musician’s intent. Extraordinary. Unlike Autotune, this technology, properly used, is actually undetectable!
Also, Dr. Mike is working on optimal codecs for compressed web videos to achieve an acceptably representative sound with reasonable appearance.
